Love the free soft serve ice cream while we wait to be seated. Their Amazon sauce is a must try. Couldn’t get enough of chips and dips that they give as soon as we are seated. There are only few vegetarian options but love the fact that they can make any item vegetarian on request

Today 7/21/24 was my first time at this restaurant and I was not disappointed. There was a 22 minute wait for a table but we decided to sit at the bar and our experience was no different. Our food was very good and the watermelon Rita delicious. Presentation is great and everything tastes as good as it looks. Kudos to the 2 ladies at the bar, they do an impressive job. Will definitely recommend.

This was our first experience with gringos. Our waiter was super attentive, super friendly, and very knowledgeable of the menu. Everything he recommended was super delicious. One thing I do love about gringos is they are veteran friendly so if you are veteran and you have an ID they will discount your food or give you one of one of your plates for free I guess that’s just depending on the green goes in your waiter or waitress. The food was super amazing. I was really surprised for a Tex-Mex restaurant living in Texas. I’ve been to many of them and the food is really not that great but here at gringos the food seem to be very fresh super delicious and I highly recommend if you’re anywhere near gringos in Texas, give them a try, you won’t be disappointed.

YouTube PreettyP. Date night with my boyfriend on 1/25/25 and it was pretty busy. The wait was 45 mins and we only waited 10 mins. S/o to the hostess Daniela we sat at a booth with a great view of the tv to watch the game. Our server was attentive and nice. Our food was so good as well! I had the seafood enchiladas and he had the fajita tacos.

Thank you Gringo’s Katy staff, especially Angie!! They sure do know how to make a person feel special on their birthday! I ordered dinner for the family for a birthday, and got it delivered. I had forgotten to request something, I called the restaurant and got an extremely nice lady. She then told me no worries she would take care of what I had forgotten. Which was extra green salsa, so good!!! I explained it was for a birthday dinner, and when I got our food there was a little something in there for the birthday guest!! The food was delicious and still hot, we got beef fajitas, cheese enchiladas, chimichangas, and the all the fixings. Just a great experience all around, I recommend them anytime! It’s a bit pricey but worth it for the quality of food and the people there are always so happy to help. Just go ahead and order right now.

Always a palate pleasure eating at Gringo’s. When we got there, there was a 25 min wait for two so we sat at the bar. We were immediately greeted by the bartender and brought chips and their amazing green and red salsas. I ordered the pollo marisco and my husband ordered the Veracruz plate. The food took about 25 minutes, not terrible considering how busy they were. Looking forward to returning on a less busy day.

Review for Gringo’s Tex-Mex Restaurant: I’ve been to Gringo’s before and always had great food, but this was my first time bringing my husband along. Our experience started off a bit rough—the host seated us at a nice table, but we weren’t brought any chips and salsa. When we ordered queso, it arrived without chips as well. Thankfully, our experience turned around when we were assigned a different server. It was her first time on the floor, but she delivered excellent customer service. She was attentive, kind, and engaging, which really enhanced our visit. We ordered margaritas—my husband had his on the rocks, and I had mine frozen. Both were delicious. For our meal, we had taco salads, and they were excellent. We left full, happy, and satisfied. Overall, I’d rate the margaritas a 10/10, the queso an 8/10, and the beef taco salad an 8/10. If you’re ever in Houston and craving great Tex-Mex, Gringo’s is definitely worth a visit!

Their Maxican food is the best in Houston. I have visited this place a couple of times. Their chicken fajitas are cooked to perfection and have a balanced flavor. Their salsa, queso and other spicy sauce tasted great with the chips. Their fresh guac also had a balanced flavor. The staff is great; they guided us through the menu and constantly checked in to ensure we were enjoying our meal. Drinks were the star; also, the star is the free mini cone ice-cream.
